Marita Bakke, better know as Marita Bliss, was born in 1988 and grew up in Larvik, Norway, where she lives and works in her studio at home.

She’s a painter that works with graphite, watercolor and acrylics.

She uses her art as therapy to cope with everyday life as chronically ill. Her disease prevents her from being able to have a normal job and a normal life. She is often house-bound, and much time is spent resting so that her body will function for the most basic things that most would take for granted.
